You know when you sort of go through that dry patch with music, you've became fed up of current bands because you've listened to the same songs a thousand times. You can't find any new bands or the bands you are finding just aren't doing it for you?
Then you go into that 'Where the hell has [insert name of band here] gone, they haven't made any new music in ages' THEN out of nowhere the bands you love and haven't heard for a while pop up with a new and completely amazing song. That, that is what I love.
And that is what my post is about today, it's sort of a little impromptu, I always seem to write late for this blog but I always seem to pop up with these ideas to write? Not to mention I have deadlines for uni, yep I know my priorities.
God I am so happy these boys are back. I love them because they always bring something new and fresh something completely different. This is like nothing I heard from them before, its more danc-y, the vocals and it's fast paced. It's still them but I feel its more of a different direction, and I bloody love it. The chorus just makes you want to jump about and dance.

What can I even say to simply describe this song?! I have been a fan of Florence since forever, for not only their music but Florence Welch herself. I've always been a fan of what they do. This song just blew me away and I can almost feel like they are taking a new direction this time and with the new album. Its strong, its powerful and for at least more than a moment it makes you stop what your doing. Shit it is good. If you haven't watched the new video for this song yet go, go. I feel like she is really telling a story and opening up and the video completely portrays that.
'How big, how beautiful' is set for release on June 2nd
Very badly of me, I actually haven't listened to Peaces new album, so I won't make much comment on that. I am getting round to having a listen, honest! Their song 'Get Lost On Me' made me completely fall in love with them again so I was excited to hear more from them for this album. This is one of my favourite songs and make sure you check out their music video for this there is 4 different interactive versions to watch. all equally entertaining.

If you ask me, this is completely different to anything I heard from Swim Deep before, it still has those harmony's, its soft and dazy but there's something different, quite retro and it almost reminds me of The Stone Roses. I've loved some of the stuff they've done but for me I felt like their last album was a bit same-y. 'Honey' and 'King City' were my faves but I'm excited to hear more from them and hear more of what they've got to give. And this song release has got me excited for that.

Oh I am so happy these boys are back to keep me uplifted and all warm inside. Honestly these are (one of) my summer bands. Literally everything they do is drenched with sunshine and just pure groove. This song is also much of this again, I challenge you to not dance the minute it starts and to not feel good once it's finished.
No new album as of yet
I don't want to say too much about this just yet as my next post will be a gig review for Hot Chip, I went to see them Friday Night and god they were so so good. As I said I'll just touch on this, but this song feels old school. funky (as always) but with a bit of something new its very current but there's still that electronic 80's noise about them. This is real good, initially on first listen I wasn't blown away but now it's really grown on me.
